Architectural Resin Solutions for Light, Color, & Pattern, 2024
CEU: 0.1 | CEU Code: LU-EN-110908-0425

Architectural resin panels are engineered to suit the demands of a wide array of interior and exterior applications and offer almost unlimited combinations of color, pattern, and design. This course presents the features and options that allow resin panels to meet design requirements for both function and beauty and discusses how resin panels may play a role in projects seeking LEED v4 BD+C, ID+C, and O+M; Living Building ChallengeSM v3.1; or WELL Building Standard v1 certification.

Learning Objectives

  • Compare the types of resin used to make panels in terms of their material properties, and discuss the renewable elements and recyclability of panels.
  • Discuss resin panel décor and customization possibilities and the installation options for a wide array of interior and exterior applications.
  • Explain how resin panels have the potential to play a role in projects seeking to meet the requirements of green building programs such as LEED, the Living Building ChallengeSM, and the WELL Building Standard in the areas of recycled content, beauty and design, and biophilia.
  • Describe how the light transmission properties of resin panels can be used to delineate areas and add privacy while increasing occupant access to daylighting and its many benefits.
