Solar Innovations, Inc. Greenhouses are used in an array of applications from residential to commercial, institutional, or educational. This course describes the glazing options, accessories, environmental controls, and planning considerations that contribute to a successful greenhouse. Also presented are the configuration options and decorative details that make each greenhouse unique and ideally suited for its purpose. 60 minutes.

Learning Objectives

  • List the purposes and applications of today's greenhouses, and the many benefits to people they provide.
  • Describe greenhouse design options including configuration, glazing, and decorative details.
  • Discuss the accessories and environmental controls available to maximize the functionality of a greenhouse.
  • Relate other important considerations for planning and designing a successful greenhouse.

Faculty BIO

My passion started while attending Conrad Weiser High School where I learned the advantages of developing business plans. I continued my college education in the marketing field including a marketing internship at Joe Jurgielwicz & Sons. After completing the internship and graduating from Penn State University, I started my marketing career at Solar Innovations Architectural Glazing Systems in January 2011. I started as a Marketing Assistant. My passion for the field pushed me on a daily basis, enabling me to advance into the role of Marketing Coordinator, as well as being our Marketing Technical Sales Lead and Tradeshow Coordinator.
