Description of ASTM-F2643 2009ASTM F2643 - 09Standard Specification for Powered Pot, Pan and Utensil Washing SinksActive Standard ASTM F2643 | Developed by Subcommittee: F26.01 Book of Standards Volume: 15.12 ASTM F2643Abstract This specification covers commercial powered pot, pan, and utensil washing sinks of the following types, styles, and classes: Type I, Type II, Style 1 (Class A and Class B), and Style 2, having the specified sizes for (1) drainboards, soiled and clean ends, (2) scrapper section, (3) wash sink, (4) rinse sink, and (5) sanitizer sink. The materials shall conform to the specified requirements and include: corrosion-resistant steel, corrosion-resisting material, nickel-copper alloy, and plastics. Construction requirements for the following are detailed: (1) piping, tubing, fittings, and valves, (2) spray assemblies, (3) tank, (4) overflow, (5) frame, (6) legs (feet), (7) pump and motor assemblies, and (8) heating. The electrical equipment requirements for the motors, controls, and wiring and circuit devices; lubrication requirements; and requirements for treatment and painting, are specified. Powered pot, pan, and utensil washing sinks shall conform to the specified performance requirements including noise level. Operational, leakage, and performance tests shall be performed.
