    Edition: 2024

Content Description

This standard describes the design, fabrication, construction, inspection, and testing of bolted aboveground thermosetting fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) panel-type tanks for potable water, reclaimed water, and non-potable water. Requirements for the fabrication, design, construction, and testing of FRP panels, concrete and steel foundation members, steel bolts, and accessories are included. Site elevation and procurement; tank sizing; post-commissioning inspection and maintenance; and the design, operation, and control of the water distribution system that connects to the bolted aboveground thermosetting FRP panel-type (BATFRPP) tank are beyond the scope of this standard. This standard can be referenced in project documents that address the design, fabrication, construction, inspection, and testing of BATFRPP tanks for water storage. The stipulations of this standard apply when this document has been referenced and then only to BATFRPP tanks.
