Description of BS 1853-2:1995 1995This British Standard is applicable to those fluorescent lamps which are used in the United Kingdom and which are not specified in BS EN 60081:1994, BS EN 60901:1994, BS EN 61195:1994 or BS EN 61199:1994. It specifies the characteristics of fluorescent lamps for general lighting service, which have pre-heated cathodes and which operate from 50 Hz a.c. mains with or without the aid of a starter and in association with ballasts conforming to BS EN 60920:1991 and BS EN 60921:1991. Characteristics, technical requirements, test methods for type, batch or whole production testing.
