Description of BS 4874:1972 1972Specifies the overall sizes of a range of containers whose dimensions will influence the sizes of appliances to accommodate them in the processes of cooking, serving, preparing, storing and transporting within and from the kitchen. The range is based on the basic module of 530 mm x 325 mm and a multiple and fractions of the module are specified for both flanged and non-flanged containers and lids.
