Description of BS ISO/IEC 24751-1:2008 20081.1 Statement of Scope ISO/IECÂ 24751 is intended to meet the needs of learners with disabilities and anyone in a disabling context. This part of ISO/IECÂ 24751 provides a common framework to describe and specify learner needs and preferences on the one hand and the corresponding description of the digital learning resources on the other hand so that individual learner preferences and needs can be matched with the appropriate user interface tools and digital learning resources.
1.2 Exclusions 1.2.1 The creation of accessible content This part of ISO/IECÂ 24751 does not (nor do ISO/IECÂ 24751-2 and ISO/IECÂ 24751-3) describe how to create accessible content.
1.2.2 Person: organization and public administration This part of ISO/IECÂ 24751 does not (nor do ISO/IECÂ 24751-2 and ISO/IECÂ 24751-3) define how to deal with types and roles of Persons, (and two sub-types of Person namely organization and public administration).
ISO/IECÂ 24751 focuses on individuals and their needs and preferences from an accessibility perspective. 1.3 Aspects not currently addressed This part of ISO/IECÂ 24751 does not currently support the following:
