Content DescriptionThis document describes the procedures to be followed and precautions to be observed in performing measurements of total radiant flux (total radiant power), electrical power, and wavelength characteristics of ultraviolet (UV) light emitting diodes (LEDs). This document covers measurement of UV LEDs in the wavelength range of 200 nm to 400 nm* under continuous-pulse operation. Where the term "thermal condition" is used with respect to a UV LED, this refers to the junction temperature. For UV LEDS, due to an initial transient voltage effect, DC mode operation and single-pulse operation, as described in ANSI/IES LM-85-20, Approved Method: Optical and Electrical Measurements of LED Packages and Arrays,1 are not acceptable measurement methods. This document does not cover AC-driven UV LEDs, UV LED lamps, nor UV LED luminaires. This document does not cover relative measurement methods. This standard does not address the safety concerns associated with the use of these products. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices. This book also exists in the following packages...Subscription InformationMADCAD.com IES subscriptions are annual and access is concurrency based (number of people that can access the subscription at any given time).
