Description of NFPA 37 2006

Per NFPA's requirements, when purchasing NFPA 2021 Standards and/or 2020 NFPA 70 (NEC), you must subscribe to at least one more NFPA Standard to complete your purchase. Updated to reflect current industry knowledge, NFPA 37 governs the installation and use of stationary engines and gas turbines fueled by liquid or gaseous fuels for use with emergency generators, fire pumps, and other equipment. Requirements address gaseous and liquid fuel supplies, lubricating systems, engine exhaust systems, control and instrumentation, instructions, and fire protection features.

Make sure you're in the know about these important changes in the 2006 Standard:

  • Requirements for dedicated detached enclosures for engines and turbines
  • Revised guidance on oil spill containment
