Content Description Per NFPA's requirements, when purchasing NFPA 2021 Standards and/or 2020 NFPA 70 (NEC), you must subscribe to at least one more NFPA Standard to complete your purchase. In order to fulfill this requirement, we automatically add 2019 NFPA 900 to your cart. This title may be removed during checkout if you choose to add a different NFPA standard to your cart, and pricing will be recalculated accordingly.
NFPA 901 guidelines enable fire departments and other fire protection organizations to more effectively report data.
NFPA 901, Standard Classifications for Fire and Emergency Services Incident Reporting, is aligned with the US Fire Administration (USFA) and the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) to help ensure the consistency of the requirements. Used by software developers and end users, NFPA 901 establishes a common language and definitions of elements and classifications used by fire departments throughout the United States and the world.
NFPA 901 addresses the following:
Pre-incident environments, including the fire defense features of a structure
Fire and other emergency incidents
Post-incident damage assessments
Fire service data
The 2021 edition of NFPA 901 has been almost entirely reworked. Tables have been consolidated, eliminated, or moved to the annexes to make the document more user-friendly. In addition, new chapters on fire investigation have been added to align NFPA 901 with NFPA 921, Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations. Special attention has also been paid to the most current and up-to-date forms of reporting.
